  • Robert "Bobby" Cole

    Robert is of Luritja, Arrente and Wambaya descent and possesses strong Civil Works & Mining skills, community program design, development and implementation skills and knowledge through previous roles with regional and national relationships and networks. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science – Indigenous Community Management & Development Curtin University Perth.

  • John Kelly

    John brings a wealth of technical, business and personal life experience from Acknowledge Accounting into New Life Waste Recycling that encourages clients to consider their aspirations and capacity.

    John began work in public practice in 1993 and qualified as a CPA in 1996. He has a particular interest in business and superannuation.

  • Patrick Higgins

    Patrick has lived and worked in the Kimberley for fifty years. He has an intimate understanding of the importance of country to the people of the land.

    He is a Licensed General Insurance Broker and has been working in that field for approximately thirty-five years. Patrick has assisted most of the major Aboriginal organisations in their risk management to varying degrees. In this period, he has been involved in many other commercial operations including labour hire and training companies.


  • Karl Howard BAS Hons

    Karl is a descendant from the Mayi Kulun and Kalkadoon peoples of the Cloncurry and Mount Isa regions. Majority of the work Karl has undertaken is focused on community development, cross cultural training and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business and workforce capacity development. He has a strong background in youth development and mentoring, program co-design with cultural context and has an emphasis on Aboriginal kinship system/structures.  Karl has worked on numerous projects involving Youth Justice, Native Title Applicant, Cultural Heritage, NT Fisheries Aboriginal Marine Ranger, Indigenous Economic Development, Community Consultation, Engagement and Participation, and Capacity Building.

     

    He brings strong community engagement, program management and implementation skills and knowledge through his experience and connections with regional relationships and networks.

  • Richard (Rick) Callaghan

    Rick is a Non-Executive Director with the New Life Family and is a registered ORIC examiner and administrator.

    Rick is the Executive Director and Chairman of Yaran Business Services and its subsidiaries. Yaran aspires to support economic development, personal and community wealth, and sustainable aspirations. Yaran works towards corporate, community and personal growth and sustainability across Australia and the Torres Strait Islands.

    Rick was appointed from 2013 to 2020 by the SA Health Minister as a Council member of the Health Performance Council of South Australia, which undertook 4-year health reviews and statistical analysis of health data across South Australia and referenced the applicable health standards around Australia. Assisting in developing world-class health evaluations across South Australia.

    Rick has a business degree and is a certified management consultant and quality systems auditor and has worked extensively in Aboriginal aged care, community health sectors, the mining sector, Indigenous business, and Indigenous health.

    He is currently a non-member independent director of the Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation Trust operating in Arnhem Land and a non-member independent director of the Regional Anangu Services Aboriginal Corporation & its Trust (14 years), providing essential services to a large discrete community and outstation communities.
